About We Rock the Spectrum Antioch
Erika and Chris Buxton are the proud parents of a nineteen year old son who is on the spectrum. The Buxtons struggled to find resources and services for their son when he was a child and decided that they wanted to find a way to create a business that their son could help build and that would also be a source of support and community for other parents of neurodivergent children and teens. We Rock the Spectrum is their way of creating a joyful and nurturing space for all children and their families. It is important to them that parents and caregivers feel supported by the business as well so there will be support groups and family events on a regular basis.
In addition to being an autism mom, Erika is also a pediatric speech-language pathologist specializing in working with neurodivergent children and teens. One of her specialties is creating social learning groups for children and teens and there will be many of these opportunities at We Rock the Spectrum. Erika is also committed to hiring neurodivergent teens and adults.
